1- Project Details

AQUALINE Water Technology successfully delivered a wastewater treatment system with a total capacity of 1,950 CMD for a private sector client in Qatar. The system was specifically designed to transform domestic wastewater into high-quality effluent suitable for agricultural irrigation, addressing both water scarcity and sustainability needs in the region.

2- Customer Need

​

The client required a sustainable water reuse solution that could reliably convert treated domestic wastewater into irrigation-quality water. With growing demands for agricultural production and limited freshwater resources, a system was needed that combined efficiency, reliability, and compliance with Qatar’s environmental regulations.

3- Challenge

​

The project faced challenges including:

  • Treating variable influent quality from domestic wastewater sources

  • Meeting strict water reuse standards for agriculture

  • Operating reliably in Qatar’s high-temperature climate

  • Designing a system with a compact footprint for integration within existing infrastructure

​

4- AQUALINE Solution

​

AQUALINE Water Technology delivered a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system with a total capacity of 1,950 CMD (650 CMD × 3 units). The system was designed for:

  • Advanced biological treatment to reduce organic load and nutrients

  • Submerged membrane modules for ultra-filtration and pathogen removal

  • Automated process control for stable, continuous operation

  • Modular configuration, enabling easy expansion and simplified maintenance
