OVERVIEW
STOP SCALE BEFORE IT STARTS
Hard water contains calcium and magnesium that build up as scale in pipes, boilers, heaters and machines. Scale raises energy use, blocks equipment and leads to costly repairs. Softeners use ion exchange resin to swap these hardness minerals for sodium.
When the resin is full, the softener regenerates itself automatically with salt brine. Twin units can deliver soft water without interruption.
TYPICAL USES
- Boiler and cooling tower feed
- Hotels, hospitals and buildings
- Laundries and kitchens
- Food and beverage production
HOW IT WORKS
INSIDE A WATER SOFTENER
Hard water flows through a tank of resin beads that capture calcium and magnesium. When the resin is full, salt brine washes it clean and the softener is ready again.
