1- Project Details 

​

AQUALINE Water Technology provided a custom-engineered Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) wastewater treatment system with a total capacity of 800 CMD, designed for a military sector client in Qatar. The system was developed to treat domestic wastewater and supply safe irrigation-quality water for use in agricultural and landscaping applications within the facility. The solution was engineered to be robust, reliable, and efficient, fully aligned with Qatar’s sustainability and water reuse goals.

 

2- Customer Need

The client required a compact, durable, and efficient wastewater treatment system capable of transforming domestic wastewater into irrigation-grade water. The solution needed to operate reliably under challenging conditions, ensure low operational costs, and comply with strict water reuse and environmental regulations.

3- Challenge

​

The project faced several challenges, including:

  • Treating variable influent quality of domestic wastewater

  • Meeting stringent irrigation reuse standards

  • Ensuring reliable performance in high-temperature conditions

  • Designing a compact, easy-to-operate system for military infrastructure

4- AQUALINE Solution

​

AQUALINE delivered an MBBR-based wastewater treatment plant tailored to handle variable loads with high efficiency. The system included:

  • Biological treatment using MBBR technology for effective organics and nutrient removal

  • Filtration and disinfection to produce safe irrigation water

  • Automated control systems for stable and efficient operation

  • Modular design for ease of installation, scalability, and long-term reliability

Since commissioning, the system has consistently delivered irrigation-standard water with stable, reliable operation and minimal downtime, ensuring the military client achieved both operational and sustainability objectives.
