1- Project Details

AQUALINE Water Technology delivered a 2,400 m³/day Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) system to support a major poultry production facility in Jordan. The farm relies on well water characterized by high TDS levels, chemical contaminants, and unstable pH, making it unsuitable for direct use in poultry operations without advanced treatment.

The system was engineered as a complete turnkey solution and manufactured across AQUALINE’s production facility, ensuring high-quality standards, reliability, and adaptability to continuous agricultural operations.

2- Customer Need

The poultry producer required a reliable and efficient water treatment solution to ensure consistent, high-quality water for drinking lines. Poor water quality was directly impacting bird health, reducing vaccine effectiveness, and affecting overall farm productivity. The client needed a robust system capable of stabilizing water chemistry, reducing contaminants, and operating continuously with minimal disruption to daily farm activities.

3- Challenge

The primary challenges included treating brackish well water with high and fluctuating TDS levels, removing chemical contaminants, and stabilizing pH to meet poultry health requirements. Additionally, the system needed to be designed for uninterrupted operation under demanding farm conditions, while ensuring ease of integration with existing infrastructure and maintaining operational efficiency at a large production scale.

4- Aqualine Solution

AQUALINE Water Technology delivered a custom-engineered BWRO solution tailored to treat partially treated well water from the existing plant and upgrade it to meet poultry drinking water standards. The system was designed for seamless integration with the current infrastructure while enhancing overall treatment performance and reliability.

The solution included:

- Pre-polishing filtration to further condition water from the existing system and remove residual

   suspended solids
- Activated carbon filtration to eliminate organic contaminants and residual chemicals
- High-rejection RO membranes for efficient desalination and significant TDS reduction
- Precision dosing systems to stabilize pH and optimize water chemistry for poultry consumption
- Fully automated operation with advanced monitoring and safety controls to ensure consistent

   performance

The system was engineered to maximize recovery rates, reduce operational costs, and deliver long-term, stable performance under continuous farm operating conditions.

5- Impact & Environmental Effect

The implemented BWRO system enabled the facility to:

  • Provide clean, stable, and safe water for poultry consumption

  • Improve flock health and enhance vaccine performance

  • Increase overall farm productivity and operational efficiency

  • Reduce risks associated with poor water quality and chemical imbalance

  • Ensure sustainable use of local water resources through advanced treatment

6- Performance

Since commissioning, the system has delivered consistent water quality with stable TDS reduction and pH control. The AQUALINE Jordan engineering team supervised installation, testing, and startup on-site, ensuring seamless integration and immediate operational readiness. The facility now benefits from reliable, high-quality water that supports continuous poultry production, healthier flocks, and improved overall performance.
