OVERVIEW
SETTLE SOLIDS IN A FRACTION OF THE SPACE
Inclined plates create a very large settling area inside a small tank. Water flows up between the plates, solids settle on the plates and slide down into the sludge hopper, and clear water leaves at the top.
Lamella clarifiers are used before filtration for river and surface water with high solids, and in wastewater and industrial treatment, usually together with coagulant and flocculant dosing.
TYPICAL USES
- River and surface water treatment
- Pretreatment before sand filters and RO
- Industrial wastewater
- Process water clarification
HOW IT WORKS
INSIDE A LAMELLA CLARIFIER
Chemicals help small particles stick together into flocs. The water then flows up through the inclined plates, where the flocs settle and slide down into the sludge hopper.
STEP 1
Raw water
Tap, well, river or sea
STEP 1

KEY FEATURES
WHY CHOOSE OUR LAMELLA CLARIFIERS
Small footprint
Much smaller than a conventional settling tank.
No moving parts
Simple, reliable and low maintenance.
Low energy use
Solids settle by gravity alone.
Inclined PVC plates
Set at 55°, so solids slide down by themselves.
Easy sludge removal
Hopper collects the sludge for removal.
Works with dosing
Coagulant and flocculant dosing for best results.
