OVERVIEW
FRESH WATET FROM THE SEA
On islands, coastal sites and in dry regions, seawater is often the only reliable water source. The TETRA series uses high-pressure reverse osmosis to remove salt from seawater, producing fresh water that can be used for drinking, process water or irrigation.
Energy recovery devices reuse the pressure from the concentrate, which greatly reduces power use. Systems come as skids or inside containers for fast installation.
TYPICAL USES
- Islands and coastal towns
- Hotels and resorts on the coast
- Ports and coastal industry
- Power plants and process water
HOW IT WORKS
INSIDE THE TETRA SYSTEM
Seawater is filtered to remove particles, then pushed through RO membranes at very high pressure. The energy in the concentrate is recovered, and the fresh water is remineralized for drinking.
