1- Project Details
AQUALINE Water Technology delivered a 1,800 m³/day Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) system for a poultry production facility in Saudi Arabia.
The facility relies on well water that requires treatment before it can be used reliably across its daily operations. The system was engineered as a complete turnkey solution and manufactured at AQUALINE’s production facility in Dubai, allowing the project to meet a demanding delivery schedule while maintaining the required engineering and quality standards.
2- Customer Need
The client required a reliable water treatment system capable of producing consistent-quality water for general poultry facility applications. The solution needed to operate continuously, accommodate the available well-water quality, integrate with the site infrastructure, and provide dependable performance with minimal interruption to the facility’s daily activities.
3- Challenge
The project presented several technical and operational challenges, including:
-
Treating brackish well water with variable quality
-
Designing the plant for continuous 24/7 operation
-
Integrating the system within the available site dimensions
-
Maintaining system reliability under demanding operating conditions
-
Completing manufacturing within a short project schedule
-
The plant also required sufficient operational redundancy to reduce the risk of interruption during continuous production.
4- Aqualine Solution
AQUALINE delivered a custom-engineered BWRO system designed around the client’s water quality, operating requirements, and site conditions.
The solution included:
-
Carbon steel filtration units for effective pretreatment and suspended-solids removal
-
Brackish water reverse osmosis membranes for desalination and TDS reduction
-
Two high-pressure pumps arranged as one duty and one standby to support continuous operation
-
Chemical dosing systems for process control and membrane protection
-
A customized piping layout designed according to the site dimensions and installation requirements
-
Automated control and monitoring systems for stable and reliable operation
-
Local manufacturing through AQUALINE’s Dubai facility to support faster project execution
The system was designed to provide reliable water production, operational flexibility, and ease of integration with the client’s existing infrastructure.
5- Impact & Environmental Effect
The implemented BWRO system enabled the facility to:
-
Secure a reliable source of treated water for poultry operations
-
Improve water quality and operational consistency
-
Support continuous 24/7 facility operation
-
Reduce risks associated with untreated or variable-quality well water
-
Improve system reliability through duty and standby pump configuration
-
Support the responsible use of local groundwater resources through controlled treatment
-
Reduce project lead time through regional manufacturing in Dubai
6- Performance
Following installation and commissioning, the system was prepared to deliver stable treated-water quality and continuous operational performance. The customized plant layout, carbon steel filtration system, automated controls, and standby high-pressure pump arrangement provide the facility with a reliable treatment solution designed for demanding poultry operations.
This project demonstrates AQUALINE’s ability to combine customized engineering, regional manufacturing, and practical site integration to deliver reliable water treatment systems within demanding project schedules.
