​This project was initiated by the Somalia Water Supply Company to provide clean and safe drinking water to residential areas through municipal distribution networks. The goal was to treat brackish well water and ensure its compliance with drinking water standards for distribution to homes and communities.

2- Customer Need

​

The client needed a high-efficiency water treatment solution capable of handling salinity and impurities from local well sources. The system had to be reliable, compact, and suitable for municipal integration, ensuring continuous operation to serve growing urban and residential demand.

3- Challenge

​

The main challenges included treating well water with varying salinity and mineral content, ensuring consistent water quality for municipal distribution, deploying the system within a developing infrastructure environment, and minimizing both installation time and operational complexity.

4- Aqualine Solution

​

AQUALINE Water Technology supplied two complete BWRO systems with integrated pretreatment, each with a capacity of 2,400 CMD. The systems were engineered for durability, energy efficiency, and ease of operation, ensuring safe drinking water output directly fed into the city’s water distribution network.

​

The systems are operating continuously, delivering 4,800 CMD of potable water that meets WHO drinking water standards. The design has proven reliable with minimal downtime, supporting water distribution to thousands of residents.
