1- Project Details

This project was developed for a university campus in Egypt, aiming to provide a reliable and sustainable drinking water supply for students, faculty, and staff. With limited access to municipal water in the region, the university relied on a well water source that required advanced treatment to meet potable water quality standards.

2- Customer Need

The university needed a high-capacity water treatment system to convert raw well water into safe, clean drinking water suitable for human consumption. The system had to be technically robust, easy to operate, and capable of delivering consistent output to serve the needs of a large academic community.

3- Challenge

The key challenge was treating well water with varying quality—containing dissolved salts, minerals, and potential microbial contaminants—to consistently meet drinking water standards. In addition to ensuring high water quality, the system needed to be durable and low-maintenance for long-term operation, energy- and water-efficient, and capable of being installed and commissioned seamlessly within an active university environment without disrupting daily operations.

4- AQUALINE Solution

AQUALINE Water Technology delivered a custom-engineered Reverse Osmosis (RO) system with a total capacity of 2,000 CMD. The system was designed for high recovery, low energy consumption, and stable performance under fluctuating raw water conditions. AQUALINE provided full design, supply, and supervision, ensuring the plant was successfully integrated into the university’s utility infrastructure.

5- Impact & Environmental Effect

The project ensures the university’s independence from external water sources, improves water security, and reduces reliance on bottled water or trucked-in supply. It also contributes to environmental goals by promoting on-site water treatment and resource efficiency.

6- Performance

Since commissioning, the system has provided stable and safe drinking water output, meeting national and international standards. AQUALINE’s support and supervision ensured smooth installation and fast start-up, even within the constraints of an active university campus.
